Blue Water Cafe + Raw Bar1095 Hamilton Street, Vancouver
A classic that doesn't grow old
Submitted Saturday, November 10, 2007 - 9:53am [Dine in]

We have now enjoyed Blue Water Cafe for a few years and never had a bad experience.

We love the fact that you can have sushi but also great European food and both of the best grade.

Service is always attentive well trained and knowledgeable. A big difference with a few places who say they do fine dining.

Love the wine list one of the best in the city and the wine room show the fact they pay attention to the storage of it.

Keep the good work and we will be back

Had dinner there recently beautiful room, decent service.

But the food was not too par with the design, salad was off, dish was not to the standard we expected from such an established restaurant.

An nice Birthday

Went to Bistrot Bistro for my girlfriend's birthday, it was our first time but it certainly won't be our last. Service was outstanding. Non existent were the usual pretentious servers sporting little personality. Our server was fast, friendly, and efficient, yet a pleasure to interact with; she actually had a personality and sense of humor; and still knew what she was doing!

The food never let us down either, I can simply say, great quality and quantity of food for the price . My Boeuf Bourguignon tasted like the one we had in France, the halibut was cooked to perfection. Just simple food well executed.

Desserts were fun, never had crepe suzette flambé table side around here.

Some nice finds on the wine list, out of the ordinary not the usual suspect.

Overall a pleasant evening, that didn’t break the bank.
Yes, I agree Bistrot bistro better stay!
