Very predictably disappointing!

First off, I LOVE Red Robin in general. But this particular restaurant has a SERIOUS problem with service. More often than nought, the food arrives cold, stuff is missing, or the food is wrong. I've been there four times with my family JUST to see if it has improved, but it hasn't. The only time I will go there now is if someone else is paying and I've got no other choice. Which has happened, with the same results.

Was fine for lunch, but dinner was another story
Submitted Tuesday, August 25, 2009 - 6:29pm [Dine in]

Went there for lunch with a friend of mine and it was a decent value for the food that we got. The portions weren't huge (I didn't have to have half of it packed away like at most places) and it was nice and fresh tasting. The server was very polite and the food was fairly prompt.

The next day, I went there for dinner with my husband and it was a WHOLE other story. The server was VERY rude and abrupt and kept interrupting us, I was nearly showered with someone else's wine order, and the food tasted blah, even though it was almost the exact same order that I had placed for lunch the day before.

I haven't been back since and I'm debating if I should venture out there again....

Great service, but best as take-out

I've been coming to this tiny little restaurant for over seven years and I've only been disappointed once. The owner and his various staff over the years have always been pleasant and fun to talk to. By now, he knows the drill as far as what I want.

The Tokyo Rolls are for sure my favourite and the Canuck Roll keeps me filled during games. Even the vegetarian selection is good and my vegan friends appreciated it when I had them over and served the veggie sushi platter.

This place isn't for those who want a delicate taste treat (read - small rolls) or who are overtly concerned about their portion intake. The rolls and sashimi are HUGE. One can get full on a single roll order. I am usually given my choice of what goes into my rolls (maybe it's because I'm a regular), so that's always a bonus for me. They use minimal vinegar and salt in their sushi rice, which I personally love.

The selection is varied enough so that someone who's allergic to shellfish, like myself, can still enjoy the food.
