I live just 30sec walk from this restaurant. My roommate and I were planning to go to Honolulu Cafe for dinner but got bored with their selections so decided to try something different. When we went into this place, I wasn't expecting much, just something to fill my stomach.
The place is small, not that busy but for a Chinese type restaurant, service was darn good. I checked the menu and saw that they have a fried rice dish. I'm a fried rice fanatic, I judge a restaurant a lot by their fried rice. but tell you the truth, I wasn't expecting much as typically chinese style fried rice all taste the same.
Anyway, I ordered the fried rice, hot pot (a little pricey @$14), and some lamb soup. Dish came out promptly.
Now here's the highlight of my review: I have been to many many restaurants trying out their fried rices, this place beats them all by far. Hands down the best fried rice in town. It's not sophisticated dish, but they put chinese bacon in it which makes it taste so GOOD!
Hot pot dish was small but good enough portion for us. It has a strong flavor and somewhat different (in a good way) from typical hotpot I usually find in Korean restaurants which are pretty bland and sometimes bleh.
Lamb soup was very simple, nice good old broth with slices of lamb meat.
Our bill came to about $25 which wasn't bad at all considering how full we were and plus they served us pretty well.
I found this place just over a month ago, and I come every 3-4 days to try out different dishes. So far so good :)
