Great night out at the Black & Blue Restaurant!
My wife and I were very impressed with the amount of service that we got while attending the restaurant. We wanted to point out the extended level of service we received from the bar staff! We had reservations at a table - we arrived early and decided to have some cocktails before dinner. We ended up staying at the bar because the bartender made it a no-brainer decision for us.
The table side preparation for the salads and desserts were top notch. The cocktails made with a sense of professionalism and the food that is top quality all made our experience memorable. One of the service points that really topped it off was the telephone call back the next day to inquire on our dining experience- (we obviously only had great things to say).
Thanks for reading this- we would recommend choosing Black & Blue as one your next restaurant visits. Choose to get the Crab Louie Salad and ensure you try one of the great steaks!
Cheers
This place is unreal.
We stopped at this restaurant somewhat by mistake during the Olympics and realized after about two minutes that it would be a place we could visit often.
The food was unbelievable we dined on a number of share plates and each had an entree. I dont think that they could have made any changes to make it more appealing - it was awsome.
The drinks that are created by the bartender are unique and are made with flare.
One constructive criticism - the serving staff were good but not great. Not the most attentive - we did have a number of drinks at our table that stayed empty for too long (in my opinion).
We have been back more than a few times since the Olympics and will continue to go because the ambiance, food, and drinks are awsome.
Cheers
This place is great.
We regularly dine in Steveston and were pleasantly surprised when we found out that this could be the go-to in Steveston.
Recently we have had really great expereinces at Papi's and the wine bar. For the longest time it just wasnt the place that we would make our first choice when going out to eat in Richmond. But now after giving it a chance and getting A+ treatment when dining there we have changed our ways of looking at it.
We have enjoyed many different dishes. The ever changing wine bar food menu is unreal. Share plates are fun and it gives you the chance to get a variety of dishes. Our favorite dish to date is the Qualicum Beach Scallops with lemon preserve sauce.
Bill, a server at the retaurant has always gone out of his way to make our nights memorable.
Thanks
Dined at The Transcontinental last night and had a great experience!
The restaurant itself is quite large and feels spacious. The booth we were seated at was very comfortable.
After the manager seated us we found out that is was afiliated with Steamworks the Brew Pub next door. We noticed that there were a few beers that we were able to taste. And we tasted all of them. He also went out of his way to bring a sample of one of the beers that was only offered at Steamworks.
The food came out promptly and the Meatloaf wrapped in prosciutto is unbelievable!
I would only change one thing and that would be the lighting level its a little bright!
Thanks for a great night we will return!
This place rocks!
The staff are all super freindly, and very accomadating.
Food is exellent. The daily features / specials are unbelievably cheap.
You have to try the "Brad" sauce on the wings or ribs.
Thanks for bringing the Carlos & Buds feel to Ladner.
