I went here with a group of friends for the first time, and the restaurant was far from busy, but the server was never anywhere to be found. The drinks were flat, and the hot and sour soup was not so hot... After I gave the cook my creation to fry, he brought it over a few minutes later. I started eating it, didn't like it, and found myself wondering where all my mushrooms and prawns had gone. Doubting my memory of what I put in the bowl, I ate half the plate before I was confident that this was NOT my stirfry. I went to the cook to ask and before I even said anything, he says: "Not yours, is it," and proceeds to retrieve MY now cold stirfry from the back kitchen and hands it to me, shrugging and asking "Do you like, want me to make you a new one..." I declined. He had clearly realized the mixup and didn't say ANYTHING so that the staff could eat it later! I don't even know where he got the meal I'd been eating. He didn't even apologize and I wasn't hungry anymore because I'd already eaten half of the wrong meal.
After we left a 15% tip, the hostess has the guts to say to my friends: "Did you not like our service?"
It's a good thing I was waiting outside because I definitely would have given her an answer.
I'll probably give this place another chance, because my food was pretty good and cheap once I actually got it, but that night was a serious let-down!

This place is so much fun! The atmosphere is casual, upbeat, and festive- great place to go with a friend or group, though cheaper with a group. Any night it's busy and they warn a 30 min wait, but we've never waited longer than 10. Servers are friendly but not outstanding.
Yes, it's pricier than like, Hon's, but it's also a lot cleaner and with a better atmosphere- that's what you're paying for, and it's worth it. Cheap add-ons like the roti and meat skewers are delicious and good fillers. My favourite dishes so far are the beef curry, fried green beans with shrimp, and the sweet and sour sea scallops. For dessert, 2 friends and I shared the $3 deep fried banana, it was divine, and we were stuffed...seems like a good deal to me!
Overall, I definitely recommend this place if you've got a couple hours and $30 to spend- you will leave full and happy.
