Great location but awful food
Submitted Monday, March 16, 2009 - 4:53am [Dine in]

I went here with a gf of mine for a Dineout Vancouver. I saw the menu online and we both thought that it looked great so we went there to try. I had spring rolls for apps and it was dry, my main was medium rare steak and it was so chewy and hard to the point that I had to chew for over ten times before I could actually swallow every bite of it. My gf had scallop salad and it wasn't cooked properly because the smaller scallop was alright yet the bigger scallop was very rare inside. The dessert that we chose was white chocolate cheesecake as it sounded very appetizing but what came out was some type of chocolate cheesecake jello. All I can say is that I will never come here again for dinner.

Excellent burger
Submitted Monday, March 16, 2009 - 4:42am [Dine in]

I had lunch here last week with my gf and it was awesome. It was the first time for both of us to come here and the food was great, it was the best tasting burger I've ever had in Canada or I should say in my whole life. The burger was like 4" high but only 3.5" in diameter, the patty itself is almost 2" high I think. The interesting thing is the minced sirloin beef is encasing some very tasty pulled beef ribs and in the middle of the ribs there is a little bit of foie gras. It was just downright awesome burger, you should try it.

Bad food even for a bubble tea standard
Submitted Monday, March 16, 2009 - 4:35am [Dine in]

I love to eat and I do distinguish the standards between fine restaurants food and bubble tea standard of food. And the food in here is just downright awful. I had a spicy beef hot pot and the flavour was bland and my bf had fried beef noodle and the beef was plain hard, he practically not ate the beef because it was too hard to chew. I also had a greet apple green and that that drink was also too sweet and it was neon green colour and I felt like I was just drinking chemical.

A waste of the place for this type of food
Submitted Monday, March 16, 2009 - 4:17am [Dine in]

I was attracted to get into this restaurant because of its appearance from the entrance. The food however, was not in any way comparable to the ambiance of the restaurant. Last October 2008, I went there and I ordered a soup, curry chicken, and fish fillet. When the orders came I felt that it was too salty for me so I asked my friends if they feel the food was fine, but apparently all of us thought it was way too salty for anyone to accept. And the rice for the curry chicken was also hard. I will definitely not be coming here anymore.

Good yogurt
Submitted Monday, March 16, 2009 - 4:10am [Dine in]

This place is great in a way that you can fill up your cup with the topping yourself and they just weigh it after when you pay for it. It has a great idea but it's just that i think Scoop doesn't have enough toppings for the customers to choose from. Also, unlike other yogurt places, Scoop doesn't have any variety on the yogurt itself. The price is decent.

Great food, great service

I've been here for 3 times already and apparently every time I come here, the food and service were always good. I loved their carpaccio, risotto, and lamb rack. The beef short ribs however were a little too overwhelming in taste for me, maybe it's just a matter of personal preference as my boyfriend finds it alright. The service here were also very welcoming yet professional.
