A great place to go to for hot pot! Only $14 for the AYCE menu + $6 if you want seafood and sashimi. For a Asian hot pot Restaurant it was very clean and orderly. They have a lot of space which can cater to a large party if necessary. They are located on a smaller street so a lot of people still doesn't know it exist. Which is a shame but good for me because I don't have to wait for a table every time I go. The staff was very kind and welcoming. They have a lot soup bases to chose from. I love that the beef sashimi is in the regular $14 menu, which is great because I usually pig out on that! Ingredients was very fresh! The owner opened up a dessert nook in the Restaurant. They have the best chocolate lava cake I've ever tasted. I don't think I'll be going to another Asian AYCE hot pot restaurant. You just can't compare.
When the hostess said a 20-25 minute wait she actually meant 1 and a half hour wait. When we finally got seated it was hard getting attention from anyone of the 10 waiters when we were ready to hand in our dim sum sheet. However, when we manage to hunt one of the servers down our food came out accordingly. Dim sum is dim sum no surprise or anything different. It seemed like they were eager to kick us out when we were almost done eating to set up for the next set of customers. Overall bad experience!
Rule of thumb: If you don't make a reservation beforehand don't bother going!
Chef is an artist. The presentation of the plates are always different, he keeps it decorative in a different way each time. The food tastes and looks like the food that can be ordered at Hapa or Guu in downtown but prices are a steal. I love how you can even eat the fruit garnish on the side so it's never a waste. I go there for lunches and dinners and its never disappointing. Servers are always sincere and they make me feel welcome every time I go in.
