The Sushi House openned and soon developed a loyal local following. I lived close by and was happy to see that the roll that I invented "JB Roll" with salmon, smoked salmon and cream cheese was on their menu. They were the first sushi bar to name my roll after me on their menu so I popped in to try their sushi. I chatted with the chef and found out that the salmon was atlantic (trout) and the crab was pollock so I went with the tuna and when the chef noticed that I used the soy properly and judiciously he warmed-up and recommended some fresh Ahi (yellowfin) that he had that day. The Nigiri portions were the biggest and best in the lower mainland and I enjoyed my Albacore, Toro, Hamachi and the Ahi with a very good vinegar su used in his sushi rice. I haven't had any problem with calling ahead for take-out or finding a seat for dining in. The prices are very low for the portions received and they can afford this by cutting some frills on the self-service ordering, seating and tea. I have recommended this sushi bar to many friends and they have become regular customers mostly because they want good sushi at great prices and they aren't concerned about the service procedure.
