Our food was good (above average for Fish n Chips, I guess) but not really worth the huge line-up (took over half an hour in the heat to get our food). They also don't have that much seating, so we had to go eat in the park area nearby - which wasn't a terrible thing since it was a beautiful day.
If I was in the area, I would probably return.
The ambiance was great: romantic, dinner by candelight. Entire restaurant has warm rustic feeling.
The service was incredible. We don't drink and normally that means less attention from the wait staff but our waiter was friendly, attentive and qiuck!
The food was delicious and the servings were huge! We were absolutely shocked at how quickly the food came (we had just started eating our bread when the chef brought our meals out).
Can't wait to return.
This place was a nice surprise. Hidden away in the Deep Cove, the Arms Reach Bistro is a true gem. It felt like we were away on a trip the whole night. The scenic views and the seclusion of this restaurant make it what it really is. The food and service was solid but not outstanding. We will return for the ambiance.
There is something so unique and great about this restaurant. The atmosphere and ambiance created by the atrium room overlooking the water is something else. It is exceptionally romantic on a spring/summer night at sunset. The service was quick and friendly and the food was great (the Tandoori chicken is my favourite thing on the menu). The live music was also nice and added some fun to the night. I would definitely recommend it but the only negative thing is that it can get pretty loud with all the people+music so not the ideal place to go if you're looking for a super quiet, intimate dinner. Otherwise, check it out.
I love Cactus Club, it's always good - chain wide. I don't think the food quality changes location to location much at all. This location has to have the weakest decor, it's cramped and not as nice as the majority of the other locations I've frequented.
I love Cactus Club, it's always good - chain wide. I don't think the food quality changes location to location much at all. This location has to have the nicest decor for sure. Very funky and modern with super sized booths.
From the moment you walk in... you're amazed by the beautiful decor and okay while it might sound trivial, the 2 level bathroom with floor to ceiling mirrors is nothing short of stunning. I love the ambiance here and they have done an amazing job creating a really upscale feel for this restaurant. The food was very good and the service was ok (but I'll let it go as everything else was amazing). This place is definitely a step above the Earls, Cactus Club restaurants.
It's a nice place and I like that they have the bar separated from the main dining area. The food was just average though. My bread was cold, the fries were soggy and the sandwich was just... average. The service was very good I admit. However, everything I tried on the menu, I've had better elsewhere.
It's a nice, cozy little restaurant - I really enjoyed that part. However, after reading the reviews I find this place highly overrated. The butter chicken was 'just ok' - I've definitely had better. I'd go to a different Indian restaurant next time.
Went here last summer on a date. God, my mouth starts watering just thinking about the food. It was absolutely to die for. The best Indian food I have ever had. The naan, the butter chicken the best ever (and I've had my fair share of both). We kept eating and eating until we were stuffed. Absolutely delicious food, good service, nice place. Highly recommended!
