Do NOT go to this bar to watch UFC or other major sports events

If you're considering this bar for a big event such as UFC or a hockey game, I STRONGLY advise against it.
I went with a group of friends to watch a UFC event and we were sure to arrive early to secure a table. We were there hours before the event but we were forced to move from our table right when the event started because some other group made a reservation, they could have told us this sooner! Next we were asked to pay a cover of $10 by an elderly lady, who seemed to be the bar owner, halfway into the UFC event. We had been there all day buying food and drink and the owner was tacky enough to somehow track us down and demand cover. We refused to pay even after multiple demands by the owner... I will NEVER go to a sports event here again!

I tried out Il Nido recently after hearing about it from a friend. I been to quite a few Italian restaurants throughout Vancouver but have never really been impressed with the quality of pasta I get. I find most places don't offer good quality for the price you pay (ie. not enough sauce, pasta is overcooked, etc...). When I went to Il Nido I ordered the fettuccine but asked the chef to substitute the cream sauce for some healthier ingredients (I was on a short-lived health craze at the time). What I received was an absolutely delicious creation of pasta, vegetables, and a very tasty red sauce, honestly the best pasta I have ever experienced. I would recommend this place to all pasta lovers.
