If you love curry this is a place you must visit. I am a fan of chicken, and singapore laksa and to be honest, this is the best chicken satay and laksa I've ever had. I think it is just as good as my all time favorite place "Banana Leaf on Broadway". Their chicken skewers are so tender with a nice hint of curry and amazing peanut satay sauce for dipping. The price here is also quite reasonable with generous portions doesn't matter what dish you order. Service is fast and efficient. If you come here for lunch it can get very busy and you may have to wait for a table but it is well worth the wait every time!

What is all the fuss about?
Submitted Friday, October 25, 2013 - 9:32pm [Dine in]

We came here tonite for AYCE hotpot! it is AYCE so we were super excited. We got a table right away even though we did not make a reservation.

Let's start by the greeting..

We were greeted by a lady in suit. Must be the manager. She wasn't friendly but polite enough. Then our servers came and 2 of them serving our table instead of one. As for our servers, we can not applaud them enough for their outstanding customers service. They work hard and always smiling. They all wear name tags and I felt terrible for not remembering their names. Which put me in a curious thinking mode. Hummmm should the managers lighten up just like their hard working staff? To the managers YOU SHOULD!

Food... Everything is fresh and abundant! There are so many choices to choose from. They even served you AYCE cooked food! and their sticky rice is very good!

However, just a tiny thing that bothers me a bit is that you have to pay for hot sauce, cilantro and onions. They are $.50 cents per item. This part I'm scratching my head....

But overall we had a great hot pot time and the service was excellent! Thank you our 2 ladies servers!

So really what the fuss is all about?!

I don't even know why I should bother writing a review about this Sushi place as I tried to put it in the very very back of my head!! We came here about one month ago on our way home to Vancouver after a day trip in Tulalip. After google for a sushi place that open late Tengoku came up.

How we wish that we had NEVER stepped our foots into this place!!

Let me starting by the greeting...

Came in with the entire place was almost empty. It was 10pm so OK I get it!
BUT we stood there for almost 8 mins but no hostess/server insight.
After a several yellings in Japanese from a sushi chef at the front counter. A lady ran out and sat us down.

Ambiance..... Is this a sushi restaurant or an underground night club? It was dark and has that dreadful cold feeling...

Service.... If You have lots of patience then be my guest... After waving your arms in the air or walked out of our booth twice just to get the attention!

Now the FOOD! they served us FROZEN fish!! Have you ever try to eat Frozen sashimi??!!
We brought this to our server's attention and she said "I'm sorry but can you wait for 15 mins for them to thaw then try again"!! What! Is this the kind of response and service you provided to your customers?!!

After this review and you still eat here then I "APPLAUD" you!!

It Is Well Worth Our Drive!
Submitted Thursday, October 24, 2013 - 8:53pm [Dine in]

We live in Vancouver. I came from a French and Vietnamese background so I am pretty much grew up with Pho!
The thought of driving across the bridge for a bowl of Pho (paying the $6 toll for a return trip) is not really my forte!
However, after much convincing from our friends who kept saying you gotta try our favorite Pho place, you gotta try so we finally agreed!
Wow! "Wow" is an understatement!
Let me start by the greeting. The most warm and welcoming greetings we have ever had. And it is from the owner himself! We sat down and offered a very nice selections of tea. Mind you, you have to pay for tea.....
We both had the tasting platter which is like the taste of Vietnam. You get to sample all three different skewers of chicken, pork, prawns and they are marinated to perfection! My favorite is lemongrass pork balls! So yummy and juicy! The platter also came with salad rolls and crispy springrolls and lots of rice noodles and fresh vegetables. We also had the lemongrass Banh mi Vietnanese sandwich. Love the house sauce that came with it!
Moving on to the Pho! This is what we came for. Possibly one if not the best Pho broth we ever had in a longest longest time! Did I tell you I grew up with Pho? And I know my Pho!

However! It is not the food that made an impression. It is the service you get here. It is the type of feeling that you only get when you come to your friends house for dinner where they cook for you with love and passion. Ya that kind of feeling!

The restaurant is beautiful! Spotlessly clean and the music is so jazzy and relaxing!

OK! Should we repeat? WE LIVE IN VANCOUVER AND IT IS WELL WORTH THE DRIVE !!!
