Terrible Experience
Submitted Monday, January 7, 2008 - 6:15pm [Dine in]

My mother, girlfriend and I on reading reviews on the web and seeing it in the Entertainment guide decided to try it out on my mom's last night in BC. In short: bland, overpriced food. My girlfriend had a salmon and beet salad. The beets were from a can. The smoked Salmon was too chewy and tasted strange. The waiter was rude, argumentative, and used mocking tones after we made mention of the salad. The ambiance lacked warmth and had no defining character. If the service was excellent, we may have given it another chance. Too pretentious for a sub par French Restaurant. Never Again.

I'm cooler just for eating there

My girlfriend and I, on recommendation, tried Raglan's.The atmosphere was tropical, surfer cool. The waitress was pleasant and the Aussie or Kiwi (sorry) chef had a cool layed back approach. Yes, i'm using 'cool' a lot. We ordered burgers and fries. My burger, The Republican (sp?), was huge!!!, and very delicious. Yam fries, best I've ever had. My girlfriend loved her Louisiana burger. We were not in the mood for drinks that night but we will be taking the Seabus over to try out the stacked menu this coming week. The prices are inexpensive considering the quality and amount of food you get. I can't wait for summer so we can sit out on their patio, sip tropical drinks and try to get our mouths around their heeping burgers.
