I went to West last night for a romantic evening with my boyfriend and can only say that West presented one of the worst, overpriced meals of my life. From the inedible starter of scallop and caviar to the main of sablefish in a pungent broth - none of the flavors complemented eachother to the point of being nearly impossible to finish. Vancouver is home to some exquisite dining establishments with inspiring West Coast ambience and service. How West was rated the best the city has to offer is an injustice to all of our city's talented chefs.
