I'd been dying to go here for so long, so I made a mission from Langford one Sunday monring. It was VERY busy and we had a 40 minute wait, which was okay as it was a beautiful day and you can sit in the square or go across the street to the funky stores. I was a little surpried because when waiting in the foyer I read a review newspaper clipping on the front door which stated the bennies averaging at $8.99 which was a little deceiving as there wasn't one under $10.99. I do understand though that prices do go up, and I should have known it was too good to be true but why would you have that on your front door? Anyways, the server was very warm and friendly. She did forget a few things, but afterall it was very busy still! The food was fantastic! The portion size was very disapointing especially for the price. Normally I can never finish a plate, and I left not one scrap and my boyfriend left still hungry. Overall though everything was fantastic! Will definatly go again. Although warning to first timers (or I guess anyone really), when going to the washroom be careful when returning to your table because servers go really fast out of the kitchen without looking to see if anyone is coming out of the washroom and I ended up getting eggs and toast spilled all over me!
Heard a lot of good things about the good, so decided to go. Like the decor (it's neat!), LOVED the food, disliked the service. Tried twice and was utterly dissapointed. Although I tried to be smart after hearing about the long weekend lines and decided to go both times late afternoon early in the week (a Tuesday and a Wednesday). My plan worked and both times the place was nearly empty and overstaffed. Yet both times I was still ignored pretty much the whole seating (except while my payment was collected... funny how that works)! Although the food soooo good, I will never return to the Blue Fox again as Victoria has quite a few nice spots to get some delicious brekky with GOOD service.
