I work near the Broadway Ichibankan and live near the SFU location and I have to say the food (namely the cooked food) is terrible. The only reason I keep going back is the convenience and cheap rolls. The tendon was mushy rice topped with vegetables and a shrimp and a mound of batter. I've lived in Japan and eaten many good tendons, and Ichibankan's is an embarassment to japanese cuisine. Also the chicken in the bento had many hard pieces of grizzle. The curry bowl, which is decent, was stuffed solid with rice; not appetizing at all . PLEASE improve as there's no reason for this. Sorry for being so critical but someone needs to tell the owner. Lastly, the cashier at Broadway should smile once in a while.
