The food at Handi's is above standard but not note worthy. The default "heat" level is medium which is next to bland, ask for "hot" if you want some spice added. The salads and bread plate selections we had were very good while the main dishes, Lamb Rogan Josh & Murgh Coconut Boneless chicken were so-so, meat wasn't very tender and for $12.95 each contained little meat but a lot of sauce. They could really improve here. The service is not well organized, two items got mixed up on our order and it wasn't even busy. If you want good value and selection stick to the wknd all you can eat buffet at lunch.
The best choice if you are heading down the street to attend the Stanley Theatre, just make sure you rerserve, ALWAYS reserve. The most impressive notation would be the quality of the service, in quality I refer to the speed and precision of processing your order. Very efficient, you won't have to wait long. Of course this helps clear the table for the next group ;) The food is well prepared, tasty, especially the sashimi, best bang for the buck, order the max amount. The barbecue selections are good also.
