(2.8) (3) (2.7) (2.8)the food is actually better than expected. i got the spicy tuna tempura roll and spicy tuna cone... i was impressed with both of them. something different. want to try more of their food. service is bad. theyre not friendly. it feels like ur not welcome in that place. haha the place is kinda ran down... haha but definitely will go back for their food... maybe for takeout.
just went there for lunch and all i can say is that im never gonna go back again. d food is ok.. edible.. its more for caucasians... im pretty confident that 99% of chinese wont like it there. im very suprised that its rated 4 stars in here....
Really bad food. Edible but considering how much you're paying they should at least give you something great. The risotto was boring. The steak was hard(even though it was med-rare). There was just nothing special about the food - nothing inspirational. The ambiance was good though. They have big glasses so you can see the view. But the food is not worth it.
Went here for the dineout. Food was simply amazing. I had the salad, short ribs, and creme brulee. Everything was just perfect... all the small things just added up. The short ribs was so soft... didnt even have to use a knife - it would just melt in your mouth. The only thing they could improve on is their service. It's a well-known restaurant... but the employees were kinda cocky - you can just feel it. And the parking was a struggle (valet = $10). But overall, a nice place for special occasions
went there for christmas dinner. the place was nice.. very upscale pub. there was nothing special about the food though. ordered a steak(medium), but came out close to well done. not recommended if ur looking for a good steak... especially with that price. paid $40+ for something that wasnt enjoyable. most of their cocktails were not good. they try so hard to make something new, but did not work out for me. the appies were ok though, no complains about that.
nice restaurant.. the place is small so the tables are pretty much close together, had a hard time moving around. service was horrible, i guess its because they were busy? but still... it shouldn't take someone to call them 4-5 times before they come to your table.
The food that impressed me were their xiao long bao, appetizers (beef tripe), and peking duck. the others were just ok. but yea definitely try their xiao long baos.
went there for dinner. and got d chefs recommendation lamb with garlic dijon sauce.. i was astounded when the food came out. they served a very small portion of lamb for $20. a total disappointment. i tried my friends porkchop, and it was too salty. never gonna come back here again.
went there for lunch. and i had a sashimi bento, while my friend got the dragon roll. the dragon roll was great, the unagi on top were huge too... its like $9 for 8 huge pieces. as for my sashimi bento, i was kinda disappointed with the sashimi. they were poorly cut... it looked like a lego block and they werent fresh... kinda hard texture. as for d others, they were good.
i love d ambiance, great decor... menu is pretty stylish and lots of good to choose from.
went there for dinner. and i had bbb burger which had bacon, cheese... it was just ok. nothing special to it. the patty was dry... it tasted like a bigger version of teen burger from a&w... its pricey too. the place looked dirty too with dogs (owner's) running around the place. prolly wont be coming back to this place.
First of all, you've gotta try their okonomiyaki. All I can say is YUM YUM YUM! They stuffed that thing with loads of seafood ie. scallops. It's a bit expensive but it's definitely worth your money. They serve you with a pretty filling portion. You can share and it would cost you approximately $10 per person. They have nice rooms too, if you want privacy.
Went there during the dine out Vancouver 07. I had the chowder, steak, and the chocolate mousse for dessert. Food was outstanding, they cooked the steak perfectly. Only complaint I had was their service. Their service was slow... and our server just didn't bother to put any effort. When the food came out, she just left it on our table. It just didn't have any friendly feeling. Where is the love?
Went there for lunch and the food was ok... nothing special. You can get the same quality of meal with a lower price in downtown. Potatoes and the risotto were not warm enough. I ordered the roast lamb, and it was just ok. Like I said, nothing special... totally forgettable. Took them a while to serve our food and it was not busy at all. It's a small place, that's why we could overhear other people's conversation. Waitress was hot! I wouldn't go back for the food... but maybe will for the waitress. :)
