2nd worst restaurant I've been to in my entire life
Submitted Saturday, September 1, 2012 - 4:42pm [Dine in]

Crap. Absolute crap. So crappy that I'm surprised this restaurant has repeat customers. I struggled to eat seventy percent of the food. The sushi tasted like bits of roasted cardboard had been inserted into the rice. The chicken was the only thing that tasted halfway descent. (Not completely descent, mind you, but halfway descent). I can't believe I paid 18 dollars for that.

On a side note, the service wasn't horrible. Not stellar, or even good, but not horrible either. But, I'd rather have poor service, rather than poor food.

Yummy, yum yum for my tummy tum tum
Submitted Sunday, August 15, 2010 - 10:42am [Dine in]

I've been to Bombay Bite a multitude of times, and almost always order the same thing: the raita, garlic naam, plain rice, and a panneer dish - either the one with that creamy butter chicken sauce or the dish with panneer, gravy and vegetables...I don't remember what its called but it is good. I never deviate from what I get and am always satisfied, the waiter always brings me a side order of spice, because I LOVE spicy food.

One time I tried the lunch buffet, and I did not find they had that much vegatarian options that particular day, but if one is a meateater (I am a vegetarian), the buffet would look complete/tasty.

The surroundings are large and orange, not particularly cozy, but tastefully designed.

One of these days I'm going to try the samosa's or perhaps a mango lassi, but for now, I'm just going to order the same items I always order.

Yummy

Just the kind of place I like. I felt like I walked into my Grandma's kitchen. The perogies are terrific, made with heart and soul, with a nice dollup of sour cream on the side. The cold slaw was excellent. I didn't have their cabbage rolls because they didn't have any vegetarian ones at the time, I'll have to try them next time. The server was very "real" and authentic, if that makes any sense. I sensed a overall good energy in the food, environment and service.

My Greek Taverna946 Brunette Avenue, Coquitlam
The greek salad sucked
Submitted Sunday, May 4, 2008 - 12:07pm [Dine in]

I had the calamari dinner. The portions were big, which I like. However, the greek salad SUCKED - the cheese in it wasn't even CHEESE, it had no flavour, I make better Greek salad at home, and better greek-lemon roasted potatoes. I won't be back, even though I would describe the meal, other then the greek salad, as descent. It was like they got lazy in preparing the meal, and don't think they have to try so hard anymore. Although I must add I did like the the dessert, the "ek mek."

Wonderful Flavours
Submitted Monday, April 28, 2008 - 8:56pm [Dine in]

A very authentic place with good flavours. When I was eating meat I ordered the chicken dish, would highly recomment it. Now only eating vegetarian, the vegetarian dishes are good too, however, I wish they came with rice like the chicken dish. The bread/naam is good. The decor is interesting, I don't know a better word to describe it. I had trouble finding this place because it is in an industrial complex and does not seem like a place where a restaurant is found.

Authentic food and good positive atmosphere

I stumbled on this restaurant by accident because another place I generally eat at was closed. I generally order the vegetarian enchiladas, which come with beans and rice. I don't remember what they are called, but I've had the tortilla with cheese which is folded over as well. The salsa is wonderful and tastes authentic and homemade. I'm always satisfied with the food, and next time, when I am feeling adventurous I am going to try the natchos. My only gripe is the "milkshakes", I ordered a chocolate "milkshake" and it didn't seem to have ice cream in it, only milk and ice, not my type of milkshake. However, the person I was with ordered the alcohol sugar soaked desert, and the bite he let me try of that was tasty, wish I had ordered it instead of my milkshake. The place has a overall good energy. Just go somewhere else if you want a chocolate milkshake.
