A dime in a dozen

Like so many Chinese restaurants out here..this one again dissapoints.
The food is the same as every other Chinese place. And coming from a place where it's much better, I can't be anything but sad that the quality & quantity here are beyond aweful.
Either too sweet, too greasy, greedy on the meat, or just plain flavourless.

A place for cheese lovers

I miss going to this place, I went there for one reason only..their french onion soup, the best I've found in Vancouver so far. My husband enjoys their macaroni & cheese dish, which I have to admit, looked & smelled great everytime. Their brie fondue was also VERY nice.
In other words, if it has cheese order it.
The look of the place is more pub-ish, nothing fancy, but the good food can make you forget all of that.

I like this restaurant for a few reasons: the food is well prepared, the chef will always make you frogs legs if you ask for them eventhough they're not on the menu, and the waiters are friendly.
The other side of the coin is: it's rather expensive, and the decor is very outdated.
Worth a try? I'd say, if you have some extra $ to burn then yes go for it.

A great restaurant indeed.

I used to live in North Vancouver, and on a regular basis I would go to this restaurant..even if it was just for a quick salad during lunchtime.
Their food is amazing, the location is great, and the owner will always take the time to check up on you even if you're not a regular.
It's not cheap, but not expensive either, and in my opinion worth every penny.
If you want to have a great dinner, go here.

Me and my husband went to this restaurant on a whim, we walked by, where curious and sat down in one of the boots.
He ordered skewers, and I ordered the spiciest dish I could find on the menu..something with chicken, I forgot the name.
The food was good, could've been more spicy, but hey, I understand that most people can't handle it too spicy so I can't blame them for keeping it tolerable.
The ambience was very nice, the place was busy and the boots where just private enough.
We ate until we couldn't eat anymore, when we got the bill we where pleasantly suprised.
Good value for the amount of food you get, no it's not gourmet food..but I wouldn't expect that in a place like that, you have to stay realistic. The service was how service is in most places..not great, not bad.
