Thirsty Duck, The606 12th Street, New Westminster
Good Wings
Submitted Friday, March 16, 2007 - 9:19pm [Dine in]

Went to the Duck today for a late lunch. I've been there before and it was just as I expected. The wings were delicious and the beer cheap, the staff in this place are all older and don't seem too keen on work in general. Nice enough but not too friendly. Lost a couple of bucks at the pull-tabs but that is to be expected. New West is not really set up for more than what the Thirsty Duck has to offer. I will go back again for those wings though!

Ouisi Bistro3014 Granville Street, Vancouver
Surprised!

I ate at the Ouisi Bistro last night and had a great time. The server was friendly and attentive but didn't bother us like they do at some placesdo when they hover around. I wasn't sure what to order and was recommended the espresso half chicken. It was fantastic! Too big though so I had it wrapped to go. My girlfriend had a peppered chicken that she said was incredible (how can something covered in brie not be good though?) What I really liked though was that when we asked for a recomended wine, our server suggested a pinot noir that wasn't over the top in price. So many places suggest the most expensive items to get you to spend more. We had a great time and will definitly go back!
