I went there twice recently and both times I was very dissappointed.
My friend and I had lunch there and ordered some rolls. I was shocked how all inside-out rolls were so messy! I guess the chef is not very experienced or they dont care about the presentation. But it was cheap lunch anyway, so we were ok with it. One thing we were very annoyed was the young sushi chef guy was talking on the phone REALLY loud.
Since someone told me they have another sushi chef for dinner time, we decided to give them another try on Friday night.
It was very busy and we were kind of excited because we thought it was a good sign.
Yes, all sushi we ordered and saw were all beautifully done. The dinner time sushi chef guy knows how to roll sushi and cares about how they look. That was the only good thing there that night.
I will start with how poorly they manage the business.
It was Friday night, and the restaurant was super busy. The place is kind of small, but only one server obviously cannot take care of all the eat-in, take-out, and delivery custmers.
We had to wait for very, very, very long time for our tea, food, and the bill.
Surprisingly, the chef (not the sushi chef. He was making a ll the Teriyaki and other stuff) left to deliver food twice while we were there even though he was the only chef in the kitchen. A group next to our table had to wait soooooo long until the chef came back from delivery and finally started making some food. I also saw a few groups wating and not helped for long. Of course they decided to go other places.
I dont think it is a good way how to cut down the cost and grow the sales. They are just greedy, stingy, not organized people.
Oh, there is one thing I have to mention about the sushi. The sushi rice was too sour and warm! That tells you they do not know how sushi should be made and served. When I traveled in Japan, I had sushi almost every night at many different places and non of the them had such a warm rice sushi. Think about it. Warm rice and raw fish! Ew! I think the owner is from somewhere in south-east Asia who dont know much about Japanese food. Actually there was no Japanese staff working there I guess. I know sushi is popular, but why dont you make something else you are familiar with!
Anyway, avoid this place unless you just need to be full at $10 or less.
