choices for wun tun noodle houses. The food quality is mediocre especially any of their noodle or wun tun or dumpling dishes. Their BBQ Pork/Duck is subpar. If you want to eat the best in town, go to Congee and Noodle House in Vancouver. Plus they're even cheaper than Danny's.

This was the original Raku on Robson before it became Guu. A well known chain from Tokyo, you can expect fresh, flavorable and inventive dishes. I have been to Shiru-Bay 5 times now and each experience has been great. Some of my favorites are the Ebi Chili Mayo and the Shima Saba. Menu has a good, simple and varied selection and also a daily fresh sheet. A small wine list but too bad the servers are not familiar with it. I ordered a red italian and my server asked if it was red or white!
To those thinking of dining here be aware that:
1) it's noisy and so don't expect an initmate romantic night out
2) the restaurant is not large and if you have a big party, GET USED TO THE COMMUNAL TABLE!
and 3) this is one of the only few Izakaya restaurants that accept reservations and so MAKE ONE and CALL EARLY! Or else expect to wait a long time because turnover is low.
