Cassis420 W Pender, Vancouver
Nice little place
Submitted Saturday, September 23, 2006 - 10:25pm [Dine in]

We went to Cassis for brunch today, overall it's quite a nice little place serving honest decent food. My friends were all satified with their egg benedict and I was surprised at the portion of their rissole dish. We couldn't finish the food coz it was alot. The server was very friendly and he mentioned the City Dine event they're doing during the week and invite us to come back. We will come back to try their regular dishes at night for sure!

Glowbal Grill and Satay Bar1079 Mainland Street, Vancouver
Pretty trendy place
Submitted Saturday, September 16, 2006 - 10:33pm [Dine in]

We went there for brunch today, and for me this is the second time, and my friends were there for the very first time. The food's pretty ok, however my partner's halibet was overcooked for sure. Our waitress was very nice, however the bus person was not attentive enough as he seldom came around to check on us. But all in all, it was a pleasant setting and relaxed brunch.

Be prepared to be ignored...

I took my parents to this place for dim sum today coz we read in the chinese newspaper that they offered $2/dish deal. When we got to the restaurant, we were overwhelmed by the disorganization of the place, and lack of service from the wait staff. We had to repeatedly go over and ask them to push the dim sum cart around so we can see what they've got and place order. The food's not bad for the price, but the service, i think not!

Bon's Off Broadway2451 Nanaimo St., Vancouver
Good deal and decent service
Submitted Friday, September 1, 2006 - 11:45pm [Dine in]

I went to Bon's Off Broadway this morning by myself, coz I have wanted to go there, but every time I left due to the massive amount of people waiting for a table. Today, the place wasn't over-crowded, and I ordered their breakfast special and a coffee. My eggs were done right and bacon was crisp, not greasy at all. I really enjoyed it. The best part of it coz of is the price, it sure did not burn a hole in my pocket!

Jane's Restaurant4217 Hastings Street, Burnaby
We didn't appreciate the attitude...
Submitted Friday, September 1, 2006 - 11:39pm [Dine in]

We live around Jane's, and didn't get a chance to try it out until last Sunday. We found that the service was slow, and they seemed very disorganized. The waitress was rude and not helpful, and we almost just got up and leave, but we stayed coz we were really hungry and did not want to find another place to go to. And it turned out that she got my order wrong - which resulted in a very long wait for my food to finally arrive, and they even over-charged us. I would not recommend this place to anyone despite the low prices.

I wouldn't go for the hot drinks...
Submitted Friday, September 1, 2006 - 2:07am [Dine in]

Me and my friends have been to Pearl Drops many many times, and what we found is that their slush drinks are usually pretty decent, but if you order hot drinks i.e. hot milk tea, then the quality is not consistent...sometimes you feel like you're drinking tea water. So I would suggest going for the slushes coz it's a safer bet...And I also think they need to speed up coz it's not uncommon to wait for quite a long time for your drink to be ready...if you're in a rush, go somewhere fast~
