Hands Down Best in Victoria

This place is so unbelievably yummy!!! This restaurant takes care in preparing the food and you can taste the difference. They offer california rolls with real crab meat and it's worth the extra 1$, the servers are friendly and actually seem like they enjoy their job (this is rare in sushi places IMHO). I really have nothing but good things to say about this place, except it's too bad they close at 8:30 on a friday night, but I guess that's just the norm for Victoria. Anyways this place rocks!!!

this place had alright sushi, for Victoria standards, but the service is
pretty bad, for me to even get take out I had to track down the waiter
as he seemed to be ignoring costumers at the door. I'm not exactly
sure why this place is always busy, maybe it's the constant stream of unknowing tourists.....who knows

I have been going here for a very long time, the food has always been really good (for a greasy spoon), the best part is the bakery, this place has the best baked goods and like everything else in the restaurant, nothing has changed since they opened up way back when. This place gets busy and the staff either hate their job and are counting down the days until retirement or they are simply overworked and don't know how to smile.

YUMMMMMM, the best fish and chips place in victoria, and no other restaurant can beat the view, I mean come one your right on the water. This is another victoria classic and a must for any tourist. The price is a little high but the food is worth every penny, this place gets busy so be prepared to wait a bit

I used to go here all the time when I was a kid, now whenever I go back to Victoria my husband and I go here mainly for the fish and chips and ice cream. This place hasn't changed much and it's a good thing. The food is always consistantly good and the place is pretty clean considering how busy it gets. It's nice to see a restaurant that is actually well staffed. Looking forward to my next trip to the Island

I went here while on vacation in Victoria and decided to get take out. This sushi was really expensive compared to what they charge in vancouver. The rolls were dry and the dynamite roll was mainly rice. The food wasn't ready at the time the host told us it would be.There are so many good sushi places in victoria, sadly this place isn't one of them, don't recommend this place at all

I actually liked the food, with the exception of the motoyaki (is motoyaki supposed to be spicy?). The staff was friendly, but you can tell they are overworked and understaffed. The only time they aren't busy is during happy hour on the week days, you can get almost any 3 items plus iced tea for 6$..not bad. I've been here numerous times and never had to wait long for my food, I'd come back again

I used to go here once a week 5 yrs ago when I worked nearby, I went to RR recently and it was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant, slow service, cold food and employees that had their asses hanging over the rails while they chatted with their co workers! It took 20 minutes to get a fries refill, I won't be coming back

I went here a while back and never really had the urge to go back again. Syrian food isn't spicy, I don't know why this restaurant uses so much spices. When you tell them no spices, the woman didn't seem to get that some people like to taste the meat not the spice. The portions are good, but nothing special. There used to be a really great sharwarma place by joyce station, that guy knew how to make Syrian food!
