Best Pho on Kingsway
Submitted Tuesday, July 7, 2009 - 1:00am [Dine in]

One of my top 3 favorite Pho places in the Vancouver area.

The 24 hrs service provides a warm psychological comfort.

Atmosphere is great for loners as well as groups. The blaring music and staff shouting in Vietnamese among mirrored walls under neon lights -- all creating an atmosphere perfect for insomniacs, happy couples, or anyone with $7 in their pocket and don't feel like cooking.

Service ? Well, nobody really go to places like this for that kind of thing, do they? It's also why the bathroom looks like that.

The soup in the pho has fairly low sodium for pho -- lowest sodium on Kingsway for pho.

From my experience, 9 out of 10 times, the beef bones are cooked properly into the broth.

Worth going back for.

quality food in my non-all-you-can-eat experience
Submitted Friday, June 26, 2009 - 12:26am [Dine in]

I've only had the non-all-you-can-eat experience at Manyo, and my ratings are based on that.

Their noodle soup bowls are one of my wife and I's favorites. Quality flavor, low sodium, fair prices.

My favorite is the negitoro hand roll, a 5 star item IMO. (w. a warm sake in the other hand is a nice experience on a rainy vancouver afternoon.)

The only possible complaint I can think of is the lower quality of service during all-you-can-eat hours, besides that, I would still go back for sure.
