Giraffe is on the expensive side, but honestly, compared to many of the White Rock, Downtown and Yaletown restaurants it is on a totally different level of quality, in terms of food and service.
The food is amazing. Fresh and unique ingredients that you can actually taste! I highly recommend any of the seafood, although the Sea Bass is most definitely my favorite. I dine out a lot and often pay these kind of prices, rarely getting this kind of meal. Even when they are incredibly busy the service is dedicated, and if you have the chance to be in during a quieter day, ask for a little more information and you will be treated to incredible knowledge of their products.

My boyfriend and I (who regularly spend $$ on dining out) visited this restaurant last week. The ambiance was great, I really liked the lighting and soft jazz, seemed like a funky and romantic place to enjoy. Unfortunately, the prices seemed really high for a mediocre and incredibly easy pasta dish, as well as a very limited wine selection. The service was ok, server was a little snobbish and certainly not attentive, as I did not even receive a spoon for my fettuccine and took some time to flag her down.
All in all, I would say a great place for a cocktail, ambiance and creative music, but have dinner first!
