Romano's Macaroni Grill3195 Douglas St, Victoria
Oh my Lord!
Submitted Saturday, June 7, 2008 - 4:11pm [Dine in]

Went to this place about three years ago and remember leaving very satisfied and full. So on this repeat trip to the Victoria area, accompanied by two visitors from The Netherlands we decided to give it another try. We weren't disappointed. The food was great and plentyful (and Italian!!not some cheap wannabe) Service was good and very friendly. My guests were smarter then me, they stuck tot he smaller dishes. I had the spaghetti and meatballs for which I should have brought two more guests. Wine selection is good and desert tray enough to commit several of the seven deadly sins. We went to this place twice in a row. Highly recommended.

Good value, nice ambiance

Attended this restaurant as the result of reading previous reviews, although these all dealt with lunch. Nine of us went for dinner and it was a good thing we made reservations (Saturday night) as the place filled up very quickly. Though there was some initial minor confusion with our order, this did not detract from the excellent and friendly service. The dishes served were of a wide ranging variety and all were excellent. Need a larger winelist though. The service remained good throughout the meal wityhout being interruptive. The personal attention of Mr Lee, the G.M. didn't hurt either. I would most certainly go back here, with or without a large group, as the ambience is suited for both.

Great Food (and lots)

This was our second time to George's and it was every bit as good as the first time. The roast lamb was succulent and tasty as was the garlic schrimp appetizer. We were seated immediately (outside at our request) Service can be a bit difficult when seated outside but that was not the case here. Service was fast and friendly without being intrusive. The meals are well presented with plenty of pita served on the side. One word of caution......be very hungry before you go as the portions are very large indeed. You are guaranteed not to go away hungry.
