The crepes here are really yummy, and not overly-sweet. I the chocolate-pecan one. The melted chocolate tastes fresh--almost healthy--once you have had a sangria or two. Also, there is great live musical entertainment, and I don't think there is any cover charge there for that.
The first time I went there my meal was great, but my husband, who ordered a mushroom risotto dish, got violently ill from food poisoning that night. Maybe it was something else he had that day, but the next time I went to Tomato for breakfast, I found a long hair in my food. By the third time I returned for breakfast, there was more hair in my food as well as a dead fly entombed in my jam. Now, I'm willing to allow some mistakes in restaurants because we are all human, and sometimes our "humaness" becomes part of our food. But three times? So gross! Either it was unfortuante coincidence, or the staff don't give a ^**$$#, but I simply don't have the guts to go back. It's too bad because they use free-range eggs.
