Wraps, wraps, wraps...
Submitted Thursday, October 7, 2010 - 3:01pm [Dine in]

A friend asked me to meet her here for lunch.
I opted for the smoked salmon wrap.
Very tasty and filling. One of the better wraps
made in town.
The other deli items look very appetizing.
The place is bright, spacious - I'll make a detour to this place again on my next lunch engagement.

Even with the Vancouver Courier promo - kids eat free - DONT risk your health...
Submitted Thursday, July 8, 2010 - 3:12pm [Dine in]

We saw the promo ad in the local community paper so we decided to go try it out.

It's a good thing we didnt eat anything at this place. When we walked in, there was an argument going on with a small family and the waitress. There was only one occupied table in the place.
While the place looked ok, I decided to ask the patron that stormed out what had happened. She said the food was not fit for consumption and refused to eat and pay for it. She had only received part of her order for her family of four.
I went back in to see what food was left on their table as we were seated nearby.
Yup, only one small bite out of the burger and it looked pretty red inside. She must have spit the rest out as it looked like it was in the napkin on the plate. yuk!!
We immediately decided to leave. By the looks the waitress gave us, she was pretty miffed about our decision. I told her we've changed our mind....and her reply to us........"whatever...."

While we did not eat here - thank god - the last patron's reaction to the questionable food and the waitress' "hospitable attitude" was enough for us to make a quick exit.

Promos for kids eating free are not always a good thing....

Excellent food ~ view is outstanding (a given...)
Submitted Wednesday, May 12, 2010 - 2:29pm [Dine in]

The two of us lunched at Season's today.
Service from start - greetings at the entrance - to the end of the meal was top notch!

A bottle of wine with our lunch which included the 2 of us sharing the crab cakes and risotto, and the seafood carbonara. Both were delicious.
Service was great as my other half enjoyed bottomless cups of coffee too!

Price point, yes the prices are above avg., but I dont think you'll find a nicer view with great service.

If price is your main criteria, then this is not your hangout.

Great Corned Beef and Montreal Smoked Sandwiches for lunch
Submitted Wednesday, April 21, 2010 - 1:17pm [Dine in]

I've been frequenting this place since I was a kid.
It's changed hands a few times since Kaplan passed on.
Food is a bit pricey but hey, where can you get a great CB or MSM sandwich in the area of Oakridge, Kerridale??
We've had lunch in the place many times. Service is ok - no complaints ~ food is good. Decor is updated and as far as I'm concerned, food over decor is fine with us.
These days, we usually order take out. We normally oder ths sandwiches for lunch. Front end staff, including Mrs. V, are always friendly. Their sandwiches come in two sizes - regular and hungry size. The regular is more than enough for those looking for a good lunch. Their pickles (included in the sandwich) are great.

On a side note, the staff doesn't smile much (although they can if you coax it out of them with some humor...) but they are friendly.

Good burgers
Submitted Tuesday, March 16, 2010 - 2:53pm [Dine in]

Good burgers, and the kids like their chicken fingers (better than most other places).
Self service other than the staff bringing out your order to you, which is ok.
No beer served at this location :( (but Main St location serves it :) ).
Good yam fries and good choice of burger add-ons.
Their lamb burger is a winner too!
You can watch a hockey game here too, but you need some amber to make it more appealing for the adults.

Great place for an inexpensive lunch
Submitted Tuesday, March 16, 2010 - 2:44pm [Dine in]

My 2nd time at this place. The first time I met a friend for lunch. I had the Wonton with noodles.
Good meal and price was right. Can't go wrong with this order. Service is typical of a mom/pop operation
so no complaints here. If you're expecting more like some of the reviewer's are, then don't waste your
time.
The 2nd time here, I took my wife for a quick lunch - under $15. Her first time~ she enjoyed it.
Meal was good, hot and service was fine.
It wasn't busy - that's the way we like it.
I can recommend this place for lunch. Maybe dinner one day soon. :)

A great little place....
Submitted Thursday, August 20, 2009 - 12:54am [Dine in]

I had a luncheon meeting here with some friends who recommended this place to me. What a great find!! I'm a meat eater and I still love to eat vegetarian as long as it's tasty. The menu variety is wide and since this was my first time at this place, I decided to go with a miso veggie burger and potatoes. My friends went with one of their salads. Our waiter was cordial and friendly - gave us lots of room and time to look over the menu.
When the food arrived, I was impressed with what I saw - the large salads my friends ordered looked fantastic and very appetizing. Their verdit on their choice? excellent!
My miso veggie burger? The best veggie burger I've had. This was one was not only well-presented, it was very tasty. I've had a other veggie burgers before and they pale in comparison to what I had here. The tomatoes on this burger were perfectly ripe and the miso sauce was very tasty. The sliced nugget potatoes - fantastic!
This little place is highly recommended - I will definately be returning with my better half.

late dinner meal
Submitted Sunday, July 19, 2009 - 11:28pm [Dine in]

After movies at metrotown tonight, we needed to get our hunger pang satisfied. We got one of their flyers in the mail awhile back and had it sitting in the car.
Great place for good food and reasonable prices! We ordered some wonton noodle soup for the kids and we ordered a vermicelli dish, a beef dish and some veggies.
Quick friendly service with green tea served right away and the food rolled out fast (we asked if they could get the wonton soup out for the kids first as they were starving!)
Man, the meal here sure hit the spot. The vermicelli was one of the best I've had. The kids swallowed up the wonton noodle soup. I looked at their lunch menu while we were eating. It looks good - prices are good too!
I think I'm going have to do lunch here to see how it fares - I think it's worth the effort.

Submitted Saturday, May 19, 2007 - 6:41pm [Dine in]

I had lunch at this place after a meeting back in March. It was very good so I took a friend for dinner on a sunday evening a few weeks ago. It was quiet but that's the way I like it. We could actually have a nice low-tone conversation. The hospitality and food were great. We had the owenr of the restaurant choose the starters and main course for us - medium heat.
Lemon Grass tea and a couple of beers to quench our thirst.
For dessert, we ordered the depp fried bananas and ice cream as well as the fresh mango and coconut rice.
Overall, a great place with great friendly hospitality.
Definately recommended for couples and families.
