I tried to go there for Steak nights all the time, then they burnt my mediem-well steak, What you wouldnt think I noticed?... and next thing you know, they stopped, They were fine all the time, then boom it all stops, around this past christmas time maybe. Did you fire your good cook? I dont understand. The pastas WERE good too, I dont know whats wrong with this place. I gave up no it after a couple weekends ago. My roomates tell me to go there Mid week, like monday to wednesday or thursday so im told. Something about no teenagers working as the "cooks" I dont know how true that is. I must say this place would be awesome if there was proper Management, or make a change with the Teenagers in the Kitchen? Im not sure if thats the complete problem. But trying to save a few bucks on hiring teens to cook for an entire restaurant is silly. You just may lose your regular customers much like myself..... for an example
The food? AWESOME, the Pub in general, very cool.
I was very Happy with this place everytime I stopped by. I usually get the same Bartender, until one time last week. Im not going to say his name, but I tipped him well everytime, until the last night, I noticed, he already "Tipped" himself, by me not getting all my change back,....??? Whats with this I do not know. If you want an HONEST tip, then give your customers their HONEST change back. Its not like I dont tip, Cause I do. But for heavens sake, you have awesome food, people WILL tip you. I always did, until that day. Dont get me wrong people, the waitresses are awesome, the food is even better. Guaranteed you will Eat your whole Burger, its AWESOME. Good Rock-ish vibe, with Sports on the Tvs..... Just count your damn change if the Bartender Serves you....
Not everyone agrees with the first two reviews. Ive never gone there on Weekends, but ive never had a problem with the service or the doughnuts on the weekdays. All around, you get what you pay for, and its definately better than Tim Hortons, dry & chewy doughnuts. Were not going to even discuss Krispy Creme. The place over all seemed fine with me. I spotted the staff washing up before a customer ordered a crepe my last trip there. The crepes are made to order I might add... I was happy with that. Id say my favorite donut would be the Honeydip or the Jelly. The fritters are huge to, Ive never purchased one, but I will one day perhaps.
It does get busy from time to time so I understand the service cant be 100% ALL the time. I was never asked "What do You Want?" I cant see that happening there, not recently anyway.
I love the place and like the fact its in my neighbourhood....
From what I understand its been here for years.
ROCK ON!!! lees!
