I have to admit... i was shocked to find a decent and cheap AYCE restaurant. In RICHMOND no less. However, i'm glad i did. Ninkazu is located in a convenient spot, right between Aberdeen Center and Parker place, making it a great place for teens to have dinner.
The menu was not very limited at all, considering All you can eat lunch was only 9.95. They had pretty much every i wanted and the ambience was terrific. I loved the music they were playing in the background and it it isn't one of those restaurants where it's so quiet, it's almost awkward to talk to your eating companions. In addition, they seated us right beside the big glass windows and it gave a quite relaxing enviroment.
The udon i had was delicious. The soup was at the perfect temperature and the noodles were smooth and soft. The yam tempura and agedashi tofu was crunchy and warm. The food came almost right away and the portions were reasonable.
No complaints at all!
Although the waiters were overall very friendly, it would have been great if they could have just smiled every once in a while. They looked like they hated their job and were in a constant rush all the time even though the restaurant wasn't even that full.
I highly recommend Ninkazyu and i'm definitely coming back!

I went into the restaurant with a party of 4 and they told us that since we were such a "large" group, we had to wait 10 minutes. Which was alright with us. So we sat on the bench in the back (which by the way is VERY unstable and liable to fall over at any given moment) and waited for us to be seated. Quite obviously they forgot about it. Because at least 4 other groups of 3 or 2 were seated before we were. When we asked them what was going on, they looked at us with surprise and told us that we would have to wait another 15 minutes. We would have left then but this was the only BBT place around.
When we finally sat down and ordered food, we waited an exceptionally long time for everything. First came the main dishes, THEN came the appetizers, and finally as we were about to finish our meal, came the bubble tea. I mean seriously... what were they thinking? On a brigher note, the food was fantastic and the bubble tea cups were huge and they were great tasting.
The ambiance was alright...but i have to admit, it's way too cramped in the restaurant.
One more thing. Due to their inadequate service, we gave them a slightly smaller tip then usual and they actually came after us and told us we didnt' pay enough tip!
I'm only ever coming to this place again if i want bubble tea for take out.
