Good place to drop by if in neighbourhood
Submitted Wednesday, October 4, 2006 - 2:36pm [Dine in]

It's and OK place and great place to drop by if you are in the neighbourhood especially on Sundays because the beer is cheap and pizzas are half priced. The pizzas are good. Thin crusted. I especially like the vegetarian. Some of the Wok dishes are OK some not so OK. The ambiance is average (typical pub/restaurant. Service is good. It isn't fine dining or anything but neither are the prices. It's also a good place to hang out after work with colleagues.

Guu with Garlic1698 Robson St, Vancouver
Great experience, excellent food
Submitted Wednesday, October 4, 2006 - 1:54pm [Dine in]

It was our first time at Guu with garlic and we had reservations (highly recommended) so no wait. It is different from your typical Japanese restaurant and the food was marvellous (authentic Japanese, not your typical sushi and tempura). The atmosphere is loud and electrifying. Don't bother trying to talk on your cell - you have to leave the restaurant to do that! When you order your dishes (the dishes are tapas style) the waitress just shouts it out to the kitchen as each order is placed. We ordered about twenty (there were four of us and we were hungry) and when we got the bill everything was neatly itemised even though the waitress had not written a single order down, just shouted it out. Really impressive! The food is great but it's worth going just for the experience itself.

I first went therein 1981 and have been there a number of times since. It's a wonderful place. The food is terrific and the service both friendly and quick. I recommended this restaurant to an out of towner at a conference and they were extremely impressed.

Anniversary dinner
Submitted Monday, September 18, 2006 - 6:42pm [Dine in]

My wife and I, after much research on the internet, to find the perfect French restaurant for our anniverary settled on "le crocodile" based on the reviews. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. The staff was welcoming from the moment we walked in. The price was, we felt, very reasonable. We had a three course meal with a bottle of wine and a martini to start and were quite full. The portions were of good size. This will be our special occasion restaurant from now on. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice, romantic evening with good food.
