If you like to line up with brainless hipsters this is the place for you , otherwise avoid this joint . In my view anyone who lines up for pizza , or any food really , is bordering on stupid .
The pizza is typical Napolitan stuff , burnt thin crust and very little toppings , in other words extremely cheap to make . Prices are very high for what you get . Also had the meatballs , they came tepid and tasteless , I guess spices is not a napolitan thing .
Do yourself a favour and go to Lombardos instead , or even better Sunrise
Terrible spelling notwithstanding , the previous review has a major flaw . El Barrio is a Salvadoran or maybe even pan-hispanic restaurant , NOT a mexican restaurant . And if you ever had been to central America you'd realize that spicy food is a mexican thing , not salvadoran , not panamanian , not costa rican , etc...
The prices are a bit high for this part of town but the food is excellent and the wine list small but good . I'm sure they will adjust , the place has only been open for a month .
This is also the only place I know here that uses Huitlacoche .
Italian kitchen seems to have been designed for the suburban , big hair crowd . Flashy tacky decor . Food that is average at best and bland always . Service is fine but no better than at Anton's or any other suburban pasta place . In fact for the price Anton's is a much better deal as the food is tastier and comes in bigger servings .
Maybe it was an off night but I won't be back soon .
My review of the Shore Club keeps being deleted because I did not like the place the one time I went there . Not my fault if I was not impressed by the food , I had a steak which was no better , smaller and no tastier than a steak at the Keg , for about double the price . The room itself is quite nice and the service was OK but not great for the prices charged . I will never go there again , but obviously this is a personnal choice .
Me & Julio just opened and it shows . Some things are working well and some still need major improvements . Most important the food is good , I had a very delicious duck leg and some quite good halibut ceviche . The portions are small and prices fairl;y high , this is the Drive not the West End , that will need to be fixed . Service is fine if a bit overtattoed , but on the Drive that's acceptable :) . The main problem is the bar , it has a lot of potential but right now if you ask for basic cocktails that are not on their sirupy list , they won't know how to make them or not have the ingredients , getting a bartender who actually has gone to bartending school should be possible .
The room is nice and a huge improvement on what it looked like before , the music tends to be the predictable MOR reggae .
Woth trying it again in about 6 months .
Infinity Dining Experience is sadly no longer in business as of 2 weeks ago , we will miss you very much , it was one of my favourite restaurants in the city , hope they reopen another restaurant very soon
I love the Bo Kong. and I keep going back . I'm not even vegetarian but I could eat here at least once a week forever .
The food is so tasty . My fave is the Tofuskin Rolls in Black Bean Sauce, a truly delicious dish . But there are dozens of other great choices and prices are very reasonable . Dim sum is also good and staff is very helpful and friendly .
The staff is courteous and kind and always willing to make a recommendation. The food is prepared fresh (yes, even the sauces) to order; so don’t be surprised if it takes more than 15 minutes to get your food.
The room is quite nice but the food even though it is edible is absolutely not mexican . More like a gringo's idea of mexican food . Really not authentic at all , and I've been to Mexico over 25 times .The service is allright , most dishes are ho hum and overpriced . The salsa and lettuce are OK . I couldn't finish the tacos because I got bored . Try Lolita's instead .
This restaurant is as clean as any for a start , a lot cleaner than the average Earls or McDonalds . The food is outstanding , delicious huge XLB , very finr sichuan beef noodles and a truly wonderful braised pork in chinese wine , all of it at really cheap prices . The place was very busy with locals and the staff was very friendly , putting up with all my questions , the manager even came at the end to ask if I had liked the Braised pork as apparently many anglos don't . Will definitively go back many times .
