The cheesy mexican decor is fun and it really feels like you're eating in a good old fashioned family restaurant. Charlie has been there every time and always greets guests with a genuine smile.
We love going for a relaxed night out but their restaurant would be great for a birthday party too, they have a huge room in the back and sombrero's galore!
With all the hype about the Boathouse, I expected a better dining experience. The wait staff were pleasant and the view is outstanding. The restaurant itself wasn't very clean, especially the patio, windows etc. The food was okay, though I have had better fish and chips at our local pub for half the price!
In all I think the Boathouse has some work to do to bring their food value up to compliment their stunning location.
Go Thai used to serve decent Thai food! But the last few times we've been, the quality seems to be going downhill. The lovely smiles of the staff don't make up for too much sauce and not enough fresh, traditional Thai ingredients! Our dinner last night was disappointing and left a bad taste in my mouth! ~H~
