Fortune House Seafood Restaurant4700 Kingsway, #2199A, Burnaby
Best dim sum and I've tried them all
Submitted Friday, April 7, 2006 - 5:05pm [Dine in]

Having avoided this place at Metrotown mall for many years while we were going to Pink Pearl, etc. we finally decided to give it a try last year. Now we are hooked and pretty much go once a week! The place is really really busy. You must arrive by 11:00 on weekends or you will be waiting in line. They open at 10:00 and it fills up quickly. Huge tasty shrimp dumplings and the usual dim sum items. Good selection but not as much as Pink Pearl. Still you can get all your favorites. There are no carts. You order the items you want and they come out hot and fast! Don't miss this one if you love dim sum.

Kenzo Japanese Noodle House6907 Kingsway, Burnaby
Excellent prices and heartwarming soup

Place is fairly new and we have been there 3-4 times in recent weeks. Great noodle soup, gyozas and a wierd complimentary corn tea. Nice to have a soup place in the area. This neighbourhood does not have very many good restaurants. If you're in the mood for a hot, fresh noodle soup, give this one a try.

Anton's Pasta Bar4260 E Hastings Street, Burnaby
Overall a good place

Have been to Anton's 7-8 times and no complaints. Just go early or you will be waiting in line for a while. One of my fave dishes is the shells with a white sauce and mixed seafood. It's an awesome white sauce with a wine and lemony flavor. Hubby loves the linguine with seafood in a white wine sauce. Excellent bellinis!

Sushi House7060 Kingsway, Burnaby
10 yrs and still going strong
Submitted Friday, April 7, 2006 - 4:50pm [Dine in]

Sushi House has been around for 10 yrs and I've been going there regularly since they opened. Excellent sushi, always fresh and very good prices. It's nice that some things never change. Would love to see tempura on their menu but they are strictly sushi. The ichi rolls are awesome with real crab! It's definitely a very busy place so order in advance for pick up if you can.
