Inconsistent Service

This place is totally unpredictable. I stay downtown late on Fridays and try to enjoy a beer on their patio (get there by 5 pm if you want a spot on a sunny day). I have come there with friends many times. I have some friends who swear they will never return because of the horrible attitude of the servers. I understand why, I have had good service there and then I have had really, really bad attitude and bad service too. There's one server that I have finally after 5 visits have actually got her to look me in the eye and smile! Then there's other people there that are really great. The food is pub food, the tables in the pub a really sticky, but the beer is really, really good and cheaper than any place else around the immediate area.

My thoughts. BS flows down hill and the attitude problem with the staff is a MANAGEMENT ISSUE. They recruit and train badly. Fix the attitude and the crappy service guys. Earls is coming.

I was there for lunch when I was downtown tow weeks ago Friday. I must say that I rarely dare to order Green Papaya Salad in Canada. Most Thai restaurants in Vancouver don't make it right (a lot substitute vinegar for the Lime to save money). These guys assured me it has home made Thai style and I was pleasantly surprised.

It tasted authentic much like what they make right on the beach in Ko Samui. Paired with a Tiger Beer from Thailand this was a great light lunch with come serious kick. If you're brave ask for it "Thai HOT."
