Average okay noodle house
Submitted Saturday, November 10, 2007 - 4:39pm [Dine in]

Visited for lunch and had variety offer of noodle soup. Very reasonably priced, offering hand drawn noodle option. Tasty and clean. Would go again for wonton noodle. As far as other dishes, my partner Dawn Tart and I shared a deep fry squid. Nothing to write home about, but great for snack like noodles.

Still one of the Best
Submitted Thursday, November 8, 2007 - 10:41am [Dine in]

Returned to our regular Japanese restaurant the other day for the umpteenth time. This place never lets you down. In most cases, one does not need a reservation to enjoy. The level of authenticism and freshness of food is second to none. The service is always good. My parter Dawn Tart and I enjoy almost all the sashimis. They are all fresh as well as the establishment offers some daily specials that are fresh that day. On occasion we will enjoy some of the sushi and we can say the rices are perfect. So if you're up for a tasty and authentic Japanese dinner and not too afraid of price, this is one of them. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed, no matter what you choose.

A Little Salty Here
Submitted Thursday, November 8, 2007 - 10:26am [Dine in]

Went to Old Bavaria in New Westminster last nite. Have been to similar place in Vancouver although Hungarian. Schnitzel are the specialty of course. I started with the Onion Soup which was good but just a tad on the salty side. My partner Dawn Tart started with the Oyster and Schnitzel combo, while I had the Black Forest version. Both were very salty gravies and we both felt the chef hasn't tasted his lately and may have lost it with the salt shaker. The rest of the meal, vegies, garlic bread, and red cabbage salad were all good and there was more than enough. When your main course is too salty, it was very difficult to take. This was borderline too salty and I should have sent it back. The chef should taste some of it before it gets too far. I was very disappointed.

Mui Garden Restaurant5960 Minoru Boulevard, Richmond
Good Everyday Value
Submitted Tuesday, November 6, 2007 - 12:30pm [Dine in]

On multi return to this establishment, still not tired of their food. Mui Garden provides good service and food at very reasonable prices. They give you enough of whatever you order. Theyre famous for their Hai Nam chicken and Curry dishes. All are great . I prefer the Hot Sour Soup and chicken wings there, probably one of the best around. The noodle dishes are all good. This is one of the establishments that you will see mostly Chinese eating there, which gives you an idea about the quality and freshness turnover. A good family dinner spot.
As far as a "won ton" house in Richmond, this place is still one of the best that offers a great variety with good quality, pricing and without the grease.

Good Value, Good Tastes, Try these Guys

Dropped into this place for a bowl of noodles after exhibition downtown. Stopped by next door but they were closing in five. Lucky for us they served hand crafted noodles here at Peaceful as well. We have tried a few hand drawns and these were by far one of the best, along with a greater variety of soups. We tried the first 3 varieties amongst us. All were superb, hot and fresh. You can view the chefs throwing the noodles for your soup.
The restaurant also offered other varieties of food such as dumplings and other Mandarine (spicy) dishes. We had a couple of small items and were very pleased. No disappointments
Although decor is typical of your family chinese diner and could always be in need of Restaurant Makeover, the restaurant is very suitable for very reasonable, excellent tasting eats. This is one of those "noodle houses" worth checking out. This place will be an occasional visit.

Good Tasty Food - I Will go Back
Submitted Monday, October 29, 2007 - 2:40pm [Dine in]

Great Clean restaurant. Perfect for informal or family dinners. The tastes were excellent and far exceeded flavours of other Thai/asian restaurants in this city. Tried their Eggplant and Garlic pork dishes with some Pad Thai. All were excellent. Ambience is fair, and very clean. Service is very good. Prices are very reasonable but most of all, its about the flavours and taste. They are a very solid Asian/Thai restaurant. I will go back soon.
