No better words to describe Mamak than HIDDEN GEM. At a surprising location, yes, but the food is so authentic and affordable! Went there with friends and we tried the Papadum, Roti, Satay Chicken, laksa, and the Nasi Kandar - a sample of 3 dishes and everything was amazing! Love love love their own handcrafted peanut sauce. Highly recommend Mamak Cafe to anyone with a love of Malaysian food. Not to mention, very cheap drinks there, definitely a great place to hang out before clubbing.

It's rare to find a Vietnamese restaurant that serves food other than Pho (not that I am complaining about Pho) and it's a nice change. Ordered the Pacific Octopus and a sablefish dish and both were cooked perfectly. The salt & pepper chicken wings were disappointing compared to the other dishes but it wasn't a deal-breaker. Will definitely go back to try more of their dishes!
