Always fresh and tasty

I've been here a number of times and I always come out satisfied. This is isn't your authentic mexican food, but it does fill my mexican cravings. If I wanted authentic tacos I'd go to la taqueria on cambie which also has long lineups. I usually go just before 12PM as the lunch time rush lineups can be long, sometimes a 15 minute wait. Mondays they have burritos on sale and Tuesdays are tacos.

My favorite is the the beef fajita burrito with spanish rice and black beans, it costs a little more but well worth it. It may take a little longer to cook/prepare but the wait is worth it. Carne Asada and Al Pastor are also good. They pack the burrito and it is very filling and very heavy. Great value.

The tacos are good and very full. They use 2 pieces of the soft tortillas and add your choice of ingredients. The guacamole is free with tacos. For meat tacos, again I would go Carne Asada or Al Pastor. I found their chicken to be a little bland. The fish (grilled or beer battered) and shrimp tacos are all very good, be sure to order them baja style.

Service is always good, everyone is friendly. The lineups are expected as it takes time to prepare everything, there is room for it to be more efficient though. Another tip sign up for their frequent member card on their website.

Cake was still frozen
Submitted Thursday, September 29, 2011 - 10:56am [Take-out]

Ordered a tuxedo cake the day before pick-up, cost $49. We arrived after the requested time. They didn't have the cake ready, had to wait 15 minutes for the cake. When we had the cake after dinner that night parts of the cake were still frozen. The next day I received a call from the bakery asking me when I was going to come by and pick up the cake, I had to explain to them that we already picked up the cake and I had to wait while they finished decorating the frozen cake.

Good Enough

We went there one night and we were pretty much the only ones in the restaurant. There were a couple take out orders. The chicken fajita was a little small and not really filling. I'm glad I ordered the extra 4 tacos. If I were to order anything from here it would be the tacos. We also had tamales, which seemed to be good also. My wife had a chicken burrito that was a little dry. The price seems to be reasonably priced at just under $10, portions could be bigger. The beans were just refried beans you might get out of the can. We might return for take-out as it is a neighbourhood restaurant and it'll do if we're craving for Mexican.

One of the best in town
Submitted Friday, March 26, 2010 - 10:15am [Dine in]

This is one of my favorite burger joints on this side of town. The meat is very tasty and you get to choose the sauces and ingredients. I like their burgers better Vera's and Fat Burger.

My favorite is the Italian Sausage Burger and the Legendary. I always get them with the splitz sauce. The food is consistantly good and I know what I'm getting. The fries are always fresh and I don't mind the 5 minute wait knowing the food is fresh.

Out of Lamb
Submitted Friday, March 26, 2010 - 10:05am [Dine in]

I'm not sure how they could have been out of lamb. This is a greek restaurant, how can you not have lamb. Maybe they only make limited quantities during the lunch hours. I had a chicken souvlaki, the food was ok. I've had better. The souvlaki was a little overcooked and salty. Service was slow and nothing special. I don't think I'll be returning because I value my lunch hours and don't want to spend it waiting for food.
