We dine here regularly. As someone said, the service is gracious and everyone is really nice and friendly. Pad Thai and fish cake are our favorite! I’d say they are pretty authentic since I’ve had them so many times in Thailand. My only complaint is the prices; a simple vegetable dish costs over $9. I find it somehow overpriced. We always pay around $40-50 for two adults plus 1 small child and we don’t eat that much. Maybe we should try lunch next time. Otherwise, this is one of our favorite restaurants in Kerrisdale.

I was surprised to see so many people said something positive about this restaurant.
Well, I’m Japanese and I’m picky when it comes to Sushi. I know the difference.
They can manipulate people who don’t know anything about Sushi, but not me.
First, it was really funny when I walked in there; they shouted “Sha-sha sha-!” Are they trying to say
“Irashai mase?” means “Welcome” in Japanese? If so, they should learn it properly instead of half way
acting like Japanese. Second, the fish used for Sushi was previously frozen! How can they even serve it? That’s UNTHINKABLE in Japan! Third, they just raised the prices for that kind of poor quality. What a confidence! For me, Hachi Sushi is a complete waste of money.
