Went there for dim sum. Their prices are pretty high, and the dim sum is overpriced. Their shredded pork with preserved egg congee was flavourless. Dim sum came out lukewarm at most. While the food is bad, terrible when considering the price, their service is nonetheless great. Servers are attentive and friendly. The tables are spaced apart enough that one would not hear the other table's conversations, and the decor of the restaurant is pretty modern and clean. But, all in all, one goes to a restaurant for the food, and the price and food here is just not worth the visit in my opinion. Would not recommend.
This place is usually pretty packed, but the few times I went when it wasn't so busy, the servers would seat everyone close to each other, leaving half of the restaurant empty, half packed. Kind of irritating really. Other than that, service is decent, nothing to write home about. Really goes downhill when the place is packed... typical, but they could improve on that. On to the food; rolls are comparable in size to most other sushi spots, and are pretty good. They to tend to fall apart rather easily though, as others have said. Could be cheaper though (like everything else I guess)
The donairs they make are simply great, even better since the prices for it is relatively low. The spot is predominantly more of a pick-up to go rather than a sit down and eat place, though they do have chairs and tables set up outside for the summer. I used to go there quite frequently back in high school when I lived in the area, but whenever I crave a donair, this store's the way to go for me. I highly recommend it!
I usually order a Large bowl of Pho. Quantity has been reduced compared to before, but nonetheless still enough to fill one up. The servers are slow, cold, and un-attentive. The ambience is kinda pathetic. Regardless, a great place if one has cravings for Pho and is just there to sit down and grab a quick bite.
I've had sushi from Fresh Box a couple of times, and there sushi is undoubtedly tasty and fresh. Service was nice, and the interior is very clean and new.
However, I think their sushi portions are small and thus, overpriced when compared to other sushi shops I've been to.
I'd only recommend Fresh Box seeing how the other sushi restaurants in the Highgate area are pretty underwhelming.
I had a Chicken Souvlaki with caesar salad, and enjoyed it a lot. Portion size were large, and food was definitely delicious, especially their Caesar salad. Service was good, attentive and friendly. Restaurant had a nice, contemporary feel with some decent background music, a great place for a casual, romantic dining experience with a loved one.
After being tired of eating at Sushi Garden, I decided to give Asakusa a try. Definitely enjoyed my experience, and will recommend to anyone that enjoys sushi. Portion size were good, as well as the quality. Service could've been more responsive and swift, but did not hinder the experience at all. Can be a bit cramped due to the small restaurant size.
Decided to give Red Robin's a try for once, and definitely will never go again. Server was rude, terribly slow, and un-attentive. Food is fairly standard, and arrived in nearly an hour. Didn't know making a salad and a quesadilla when the restaurant is sorta empty would take that long. Atmosphere is alright, overall a forgettable experience. Would not recommend to friends or family.
Just ate their a couple days ago after driving by and seeing that it's a new restaurant. Had only a couple appetizers and a salad, which took them a little over half an hour to make, and the restaurant was anything BUT busy. Food was rather bland as well. Service was friendly, but not the most attentive. Being a new restaurant, the interior is very nice and comfortable. Might give it another shot in the future, but as for now, the first trip was unsatisfying.
