Great lunch place for business folk who are craving TW food and BB Tea!
Submitted Thursday, November 4, 2010 - 3:09pm [Dine in]

Not just for BCIT students ... but my colleagues and I have come here several time now and have been impressed everytime. The portions are great, and the quality is good too at a VERY REASONABLE downtown price!!

Chicken nuggets and fried rice is my all time favorite here but all the noodle soups are great too, as well as the bubble teas.

The push button service is good for people who want a quick lunch as the waitresses are prompt.

Will be coming back for more chicken nuggets and fried rice *smiles*

Cuiscene701 Granville Street, Vancouver
Really SOLID place for quick lunch!
Submitted Monday, October 25, 2010 - 11:11am [Dine in]

I cannot count how many times I have come back to Cuiscene with my colleagues over the last few years. The soup and freshly made sandwiches are a fantastic ... and for the price charged, you just can't go wrong. Burgers (Canuck, mushroom..etc) are basic but done well and yes... it is possible to screw up burgers!

The only thing I can complain about are the fries served with burgers .. they are usually not crispy enough. This is an exceptionally minor complaint =)

I will be back with my colleagues.

Love the atmosphere but COLD service in the evenings!
Submitted Monday, October 25, 2010 - 10:56am [Dine in]

Great place to catch a hockey game or fight being located downtown with plenty of seating. The food is not bad for pub-style ... recommend the E&C Club for sure.

The service, however, is terrible. Unresponsive wait staff who look like they are in pain working there .. this has been my observation every evening (8 times I have come here at night with friends for various reasons in the last 12 months). I have visited E&C downtown. Service during lunch is pretty good however but when it comes to night time ... seems no one likes earning a tip anymore and just expects it. Maybe this is a just a sign of the times .. *sigh*

Great sandwiches but very expensive for location.
Submitted Friday, October 22, 2010 - 9:23am [Dine in]

Title line says it all ... phenomenal sandwiches and sides but very expensive for what you get in this part of Vancouver (area between West 2nd and West Broadway). I'd come back more for their bakery goods as opposed to a sandwich luncheon ... If you travel further to Solley's, this would be a better place for lunch.

Fine example of why you should order seafood from a restaurant by the sea!
Submitted Friday, October 22, 2010 - 9:17am [Dine in]

We have never been dissapointed with the seafood we order at Sandbar and this restaurant taught me the rule to only order seafood from a seafood restaurant by the water =) Oysters, salmon, tuna ... you name it, and we've ordered it at Sandbar and loved it everytime.

Service is a bit spotty at times however ... not consistent.

All in all .. one of Vancouver's best seafood restaurants.

They put the 'Fun' in FunkySushi!
Submitted Friday, October 22, 2010 - 8:55am [Dine in]

I've lost count how many times my wife and I have come here and always just blown away by how fun this place is! Creativity in the sushi and the pricing is solid ... the service can be a bit slow but the staff don't look to be professional waiters/waitresses here.

Value Value Value!

This is the winning combination here ... the roast lamb, calamari, souvlaki's ... I've had better but at double the price so Stepho's wins on balancing pricing and quality imho. The proof is in the pudding with their formula of success with the continual lineups to get in at almost anytime of day.

Great business lunch place!
Submitted Friday, October 22, 2010 - 8:48am [Dine in]

I have never been dissapointed the multiple times I have been here for lunch! Try the fish and chips .. simple fantastic!

The patio sidewalk seating is a bit cramped in some areas and I only only 5'10'', 175 pounds ... a slight rearrangement would fix this.

Will come back again with my business colleagues.

We're regular customers!
Submitted Friday, October 22, 2010 - 8:43am [Dine in]

Food and pricing equal outstanding value here in comparison to other Taiwanese fast food joints. In comparison to its Richmond peers, Corner 23 is solid. Service staff is abundant and responsive. Parking is terrible on busy days however but this is pretty minor imho.

Chicken nuggets + TW beef noodle soup are the awesome here!

My wife and I will continue to come back for sure.

Middle of the road AYCE sushi place.
Submitted Friday, October 22, 2010 - 8:39am [Dine in]

In this town, AYCE sushi is pretty competitive so the bar is set pretty high. The service and speed of food is subject to how busy the place can be ... some other AYCE sushi places in Vancouver can keep up with how busy it is but this place cannot.

Food is solid everytime we have come here!

Long overdue review ... Simply outstanding!
Submitted Friday, October 22, 2010 - 8:37am [Dine in]

My wife and I had our first real date here a few years ago and did not know what to expect (didn't really research this restaurant back then). From the very get-go, the service was awesome (French gentleman waiter ... can't remember his name but he's still there). Food + Pricing = value ... coming back from Europe... we sincerely appreciate the level of quality on Le Crocodile. We've come back a couple of times now, and will continue to come back as we are always impressed.
