Best Quality Sweets & Restaurant7260 Main St., Vancouver
I was so disappointed
Submitted Wednesday, August 6, 2008 - 5:18pm [Dine in]

When Best Quality Restaurant opened under 'Shera Brothers' Vegetarian Restaurant, it was my favorite restaurant. Prices were good, food was wonderful and service was excellent. I have notices as they have gotten busier and it is not the same people that used to run it. Quality has gone down, and service is poor.
About a month ago i was expecting company for lunch and i decided to go to 'Best Quality' to pick up some sweets. I brought it home and put it in the fridge, later on when opened the container it smelled really bad, like old cooking oil. I called the restaurant and the man said thank you and hung up on me, didn't even feel the need to apologize. I decided to try the rest of the food and Gulab Jamun smell like rotten milk. I went back to the restaurant and i asked them to replace my order with fresh food, i told him that Gulab jamun smell like rotten milk. Man at the reception told me that Gulan jamun are made with rotten milk that is why. I am an Indian and i know what it is made of and how it should smell. I asked again to replace it. He said that he won't replace it. I left the stuff their and it cost me around $20.. I left and i went to another restaurant and bought fresh sweets. I called him and told him that i will be registering a complaint with BBB, then he told me that i can have my money back. He told me, "What will i do with it."
I paid good money for it why is it my responsibility to figure out what will you do with it? It was not a charity.
It is saddening that they gave me left over from previous day or worse and then didn't want to take responsibility for it. Instead of apologizing for the mistake he told me that it is suppose to smell rotten.
