I have the food a 3 (solid) vs. 4 (outstanding) but I did really enjoy my dinner here. We had the salmon which was moist but a bit salty and the duck salad which was delicious. We also started with the bread plate and which is enough for at least 3 people to share. There's a really nice cozy feel to this restaurant and the location is great. I like the idea that they have fresh plates daily so I would definitely go back to try more!
My coworkers and I go here for lunch because its centrally located quick and the food is pretty good. The dishes are freshly made (ie. even though its buffet stlye they don't have large portions sitting around forever, they bring out small portions of fresh, hot food). There is a good variety of dishes here so that you can definitely fill yourself up with out getting sick of one or two items. There are noodles, rice, steamed dim sum, soups, stir fries and even "immitation meat" dishes. The value is excellent. Worth a try.
There are not very many nice dining restaurants in Richmond so I wanted to mentioned that not only does Felicos serve good Greek food they have an excellent menu for steaks and seafood as well that are not "greek". I also come here for lunch with my coworkers and they have nice lunch specials like lamb sandwich (with delicious yam fries!) as well.
Quality, delicious food. The beef souvlaki is tender and flavourful, the chicken is moist and the roasted lamb literally falls off the bone and melts in your mouth. Good size portions. They're in the entertainment book if you have one- definitely worth trying.
I went back to Ouisi last night and wasn't entirely "wowed". My friend tried the House Flight which was a sampler dish and if you've never had Gater before you can at least say you've tried it (not for me) I found the menu a bit lacking in variety, and a bit pricey. The ambiance is unique though.
I really enjoyed my lunch at Rekados. It was the first time that I've tried Philipino cooking and I liked the variety of flavours and the mixtures of various asian influences...yummy. would definitely go again.
I'm not an expert on Indian food, but I like this restaurant enough to go back to and look forward to when I'm craving Indian. The naan is good, butter chicken delicious and I recommend a veggie dish called Vegetable Jalfrizie. This restaurant is also in the Entertainment book so its a good, cheap dinner. My friend and ate there had butter chicken, vegetable jalfrezie, 2 orders of naan and we were stuffed- this all cost $19 with the entertainment coupon!
Beautfiul location down on Coal Harbour area, nice ambiance. The food was pretty good, it is definately a fusion of flavours and spices. The service was...well it was so poor it became entertaining and comical..we were served by at least 3 different staff, bread came after the appetizers, waiters seemed...misplaced? Maybe they had an off day? Anyway, my friend and managed to have a nice time enjoying the "fawlty towers like dining experience". When we were leaving the Maitre D asked us how things were, my friend said "the food was excellent" and he responded: "but not the service?" We just smiled politely. There's a coupon in the Entertainment book for those are interested in checking it out.
Great atmosphere, delicious food. If you want to try something other than typical california rolls for Japanese I would definitely recommend this place. Creative dishes, lively atmosphere. I definitely recommend it!
oh my god those chicken wings are to die for ( by the way you can order a half order- give you more room to try everything else). Honestly I haven't had anything bad off thier menu. Their dishes are full of flavour, good portion size, well priced.
I go to Splitz grill every time i go up to Whistler. It's like the Subway sandwich of burgers because you get to pick the toppings (including their famous Splitz sauce). They have a variety of burgers: chicken, salmon, spicy italian sausage and they also sell smokies. You can get a gigantic beef burger for ~$7. Don't forget to try their Bananna Split: you pick three ice cream flavours and toppings and they make fresh, warm caramel to pour on top.
There are so many what I call "fast food" japanese restaurants these days, often not owned and operated by Japanese chefs, but Aoki Sushi is the real deal. You can guarantee that the quality and preparation is up to par because the chef is japanese. The sushi is yummy for a reasonable price...if you're looking for GOOD sushi, not gourmet, this is the place to go!
