Food: This is the very best part of the experience and definitely what I care most about while eating. We had the slow roasted veil and the halibut for our mains. The veil was amazing-incredible. The halibut was done perfectly, but the crab crepe served with the halibut and the sauce was what earned 'incredible'. We were also served two complimentary things that were something like whipped soda with grapes, melon and I think pickle - sooo good and then while my husband was served an appy they brought me a complimentary thing that looked like an egg, but was a carrot, cilantro reduction or something that was so very good.
Service: Immediately we were greeted by a hostess with the assistant manager -both were polite and useful -perfect. I felt relaxed immediately. Our waitress was perfect - she recommended the lobster gnocchi for an appy and it was amazing. She was polite with a sense of humour, so gracious, relaxed and professional. The other staff also seemed well aware of their surroundings and customer service.
Value: when writing this, my husband thought this should be less given the very expensive bill. I asked if we were ripped off?- not at all!! Completely worth it, but just for very special occasions.
Ambiance- was great but I wouldn't use it as a point of recommendation. Given the quality and cost of food - ambiance was solid as it was neither here nor there.
I very much recommend Diva at the Met. I am shocked anyone has anything but incredible to say about the food. I use Bishops as a reference point when I think about the best of Vancouver and I believe Diva at the Met is up there with one of best restaurants Vancouver has to offer.
