Typical Kits fare. Restaurants in Kits are either phenomenal with excellent service and good food, (Il Trattoria), or snooty and overpriced with cheap, improperly coked fare.

The service was so bad - a 10 minute wait for menus, then another 5 to order drinks, which we finished quickly due to the lack of water...then waited another ten minutes to order our entrees as we had no choice but to skip an appetizer - so bad, that for the first time in years I didn't tip.

It didn't help that our server spent most of his time chatting with one particular table, presumably his friends, and displayed a less than friendly attitude when taking our order, practically jogging away before we could ask for water.

The food was dull, I had the "spicy" duck sausage pasta, my wife had the seafood/spaghetti dish. Hers was tasteless and the meagre portion of seafood overcooked. Our pasta was soggy. Both portions were scanty.

Go to Trattoria Kitchen, about one block away on 4th , for phenomenally better pasta for only a little more money and good service. Earls, also nearby, makes far better pasta, provides big portions, is easy on the wallet and provides top-notch service.

Go to Moxies

I've been a long-time customer and I'm finally giving up. The service is so inconsistent it's not worth the hassle. The busier it is, the ruder the staff get, especially to people arriving off the street. Waiting 20 minutes to pay for my bill is nuts.

Also, they need to train their staff properly, or hire people with more experience. My order is wrong about 50% of the time. The food is usually good, except for the fries which are usually overcooked.

I'm going to Moxie's for cheap burgers from now on. The service is much better and the food's about the same. Local businesses should focus on service and quality. I shouldn't be made to feel like someone is doing me a favor by serving me, especially when I consistently tipped 20% even on take out.
