The lakefront setting is so beautiful that it is difficult to keep from gazing at it instead of the terrific food and your dining partner. The tasting menu is very reasonably priced and the chocolate dessert was excellent. Must come back for the Maple walnut pie. We must come earlier to sit on the lakeside outdoor patio and have a pitcher of margaritas. They are not open for lunch at this time. We had great sandiches at the deli that is also part of the Nita Lake Lodge Hotel. The desserts looked great but sanwiches were filling enough.
We have been here several times and the food is the best with something out of the ordinary to sample. Detail to sauces and game dishes as well as a great peppercorn steak. Dessert excellent if you still have room. Some areas are a bit cosy so I prefer a booth. Reservations necessary on weekends unless you want to eat early or late and even then no guarantee.
I have been to this neighbourhood restaurant several times and never been disappointed. Must have the fries! So crispy and round and not soggy. I eat the dips but don't really need them. The fish and prawns has been good. The coconut milk with ginger and lime sauce is heavenly. Unfortunately I haven't had room for the dessert as I always eat my fries. Seating is a bit cosy. I like the fishy decor.
Excellent vegetarian and prawn and real crab sushi. Waitresses were very pleasant and attentive with tea refills. The lunchboxes with tempura etc are fresh and crispy and priced for a good deal. I have been 3 times and I will continue to return when I have the craving. Decor is minimal and could use some prints or artwork on the walls. No complaints.
I have eaten here weekdays for the incredible lunch deal and been so satisfied. I have also eaten here twice from the regular menu and been more than pleased. The special tea in the glass teapot with the candle warmer is great as you always have hot tea. White tableclothes and peaceful ambiance. The penang curry was wonderful and spiced perfectly. I loved the green tea rice cake for dessert. So unique, somewhat like a green gummy bear with toasted walnuts. Other desserts I want to come back and try.
4 of us found the lunch buffet excellent for quality and variety in a pleasant atmosphere with an attentive waiter. The lamb was pure meat and butter chicken had generous pieces of chicken. Loved the paleek panir. 2 weeks later, we also ordered dishes for takeout and were similarly impressed with the quality and generous portions. We had lamb cashew, prawn coconut curry and the paleek panir.
