(3.7) (3.7) (2.3) (3.3)Whenever I want a great night out with friends I find myself going back to Cobre. The food is solid, always tastes great. Love the tacos and Flat Iron. The service needs work, they are friendly but always seem rushed and scattered. However my orders have always been correct and timely. The bartenders and managers are great. Beware of parking, take a cab in you can.
A friend of mine lives on the North Shore and suggested we meet here on a Tues night. I was impressed that the place was busy for an early weeknight. We sat at the bar and shared a few items.
District mussels, fresh and flavourful. Crab cakes nice but a little on the small side. Cheese yes cheese. yum. It was great that we were able to choose the accompaniments. The service might need some work, she was friendly but when I asked about wine and a couple food items. She would say she was unsure but this might be what the item is like???? Strange.
Overall this place is worth a drive over when meeting friends in the hood.
I always forget about this little gem whenever I am thinking of a night out. Never again, it was as great as I remembered. Service is friendly and knowledgeable. Relaxing atmosphere. The food is the real star. We were impressed with the quality of each dish.
Will be back again soon.
