A great once in a blue moon meal

I' don't mind spending the extra $$ on a good meal and Gotham definitely has that down to a T if I'm going out for a GREAT steak.

Had the Tenderloin which was perfect and to my liking portions for the sides are huge and I'd only recommend two sides at the most if you'ave also done appetizers..

The meal was very rich and if you did this everyday you'd end up in the hospital with a heart attack but at the same time there's something about spending this kind of money and getting a 10 meal if you deserve it.

Ambiance was very high end and service was very approachable and friendly.

Is it worth the money?

Yes if you want your steak to be a sure thing but as you know tehre are many good restaurants out there and they may not be able to get the regulars to frequent more than once a month.

I come once a year as a treat and I'm satisfied with the experience and very pleased with the meal.

I liked it for what it is and they aren't trying to be something they aren't

Great service to start it off and it takes you to a classic Italian setting. Traditional, nothing flashy and one of the better values of Yaletown.

Sure you can gets something CUTTING edge at the 3X more expensive Ciopinos but this place is cozy, non pretentious and humble. Had the lasagna bolognese which is only available on thursdays and good portions and value.

This is a place I can come to twice a week where the other fine dining establishments are priced out for a visit once a year.

I hope these guys don't get rent bullied by corporate style restaurants that seems to just dominate the restaurant scene in Vancouver.

Marinate on the chicken was very good but it stops there.. not as good as Fallafel hOUSE imo but still a pretty good portion. Needs to step it up in the ambiance department and owner should spend $500 on repainting and some art.. he'd maube have more people hanging out.. maybe a TV?

I'd come back if I was in a rush for fast food.
