I used to come here quite a bit but had a bad experience with their salad bowl and steak last time I was there (the steak was overcooked, hard, and chewy, this was not made by the lady co-owner, it was made by another cook. The co-owner is a great cook). Anyway, I decided to give them another shot – the owners are both really sweet and do try hard. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it was really very busy. There was only one person (the lady co-owner) in the store managing the phone, the register, running the food, and cooking it. She did wash her hands every time she went to cook a meal and although very busy she was remarkably calm and sweet. I again ordered the salad bowl with steak and it was great. She cooked the steak perfectly and I am not sure how she managed, but got all the ingredients into the salad and had everything ready in 2 minutes for me (whilst doing everything else). I will definitely go back and look forward to spending some time on their patio this summer. Hopefully the other cook has moved on or at the very least, been taught how to grill a steak. They have Jurritos in their soda fridge – delicious Mexican sodas (try the lime).

I popped by during the week for a benny. Fast service, delicious food, great benny. The place is cozy - makes delicious fruit bowls and is pretty well priced. I definately will be back. It is busy on the weekends but definately worth the wait if what you want is a benny.

We went for dinner a while ago and had the most delicious meal. Our server was quite busy but seemed to have a good handle on all of us. The carpaccio starter and brie dip starter were delicious. The 6oz steak on the specials menu was cooked and seasoned to perfection and the calamari was a treat. The curried prawns and naan bread were also outstanding. This restaurant is definitely worth the drive, the food is delicious. The portions quite large. There is a lot to choose from, and even though it does get very busy at times (especially brunch - brunch can be crazy but is SO worth the wait, definitely the best brunch in the city; worth the line up, worth the wait for food) you will not be sorry you went. Lest I forget: Do not leave without having a sticky toffee pudding for desert. How on earth this is not gracing the cover of every food lover magazine in North America I do not know. It is without a doubt, one of the best deserts I have ever eaten. I was going to keep this review short but find myself digressing over a pudding that is so delectable, so mouth watering, and so elegant that words do not aptly describe it. God bless the lovely lady (I was told it is the owner) who created this little moist and slightly wobbly ball of caramel toffee sticky cake goodness that will keep me going back, and back, and back again. People! You have not lived until you have eaten this desert. Truly. You have not lived!

I am going to keep this short and sweet. Nook is incredible! We sat at the bar (the restaurant was packed out) and were very well looked after by two busy servers. The pizza was incredible and the pasta delicious. The desert was out of this world and we left feeling very satisfied. Really one of the best meals I have had out in a very long time. Very simple. Great atmosphere. Busy place. Definitely worth the wait.
